Shape AI around the work that matters.

Shaping Loops is a human-led AI transformation practice. We help organisations decide where AI belongs, redesign the work around it, and turn that into a practical roadmap for implementation, governance and learning.

Using our Loops methodology and flexible facilitation toolbox, we lead participatory workshops with the people doing the work — surfacing what matters, testing choices and guiding the journey from shared direction to roadmap, implementation and learning.

02 — The system

Seven connected fields. No fixed sequence.

Start where your organisation needs attention most. As one area changes, the others may need to rebalance.

All seven loops stay in view, even when an engagement starts with one priority module.

Why this matters
03 — Why

AI adoption is a work design choice.

AI is rapidly changing how knowledge is produced, decisions are made, expertise is exercised and people coordinate — reshaping daily work and the organisations and institutions through which society operates. That change is systemic: alter one workflow and you also change data needs, governance, roles, skills and measures of value.

01

Technology alone does not create value. Isolated pilots and tools layered onto unchanged work can add coordination, dependencies and complexity without improving the underlying process.

02

Better work depends on relational intelligence. AI can accelerate individual tasks, but organisations still depend on people sharing context, challenging assumptions and connecting knowledge across roles and teams. We redesign those hand-offs, decisions and learning relationships with the people doing the work — so AI strengthens collective capability rather than hollowing it out.

03

The system has to stay in balance. A change in technology can shift knowledge, governance, roles, skills and risk. Sustainable adoption therefore needs implementation support, internal learning and repeated rebalancing — not a one-off recommendation.

Marc WILIKENS

Human-centric leadership, digital transformation & business strategy

Brings leadership expertise at the intersection of technology, organisational design and European public policy — translating complexity into practical transformation choices, governance and human-centred capability building that engages staff.

Susanne SZKOLA

Political psychology, participatory governance & collective intelligence

Brings expertise in political psychology, participatory governance, collective intelligence and evidence-informed policymaking — translating how people make decisions, build trust and share knowledge into governance design, facilitation and learning structures for human-centred AI transformation.

Scope note: Shaping Loops is technology- and vendor-neutral. We develop transformation strategy, use cases, governance and organisational capabilities; we do not technically implement AI systems. Founders may hold external professional roles. Shaping Loops work is undertaken separately from those roles, and potential conflicts are disclosed and managed where relevant.

06 — Human-centred AI transformation

Redesign the work around AI — with the people who know it best.

The loops provide a practical place to start from your work, your people and your ambition. We help turn that starting point into clearer workflows, prioritised use cases, governance, capabilities and implementation plans that can improve as your organisation learns.

Built for partnership. We work alongside internal teams and can complement technical, legal and other specialist partners. Our role is to connect organisational design, decision-making, learning and implementation support — not to sell or install a preferred AI platform.
